Our US road trip plan

Since James is on winter vacation from school, we have decided to do do something exciting. I am expecting my second baby and it is due on Aug 3rd. We knew that we can't really do much on James's summer vacation, so we decided to travel in the US visiting our friends and relatives. Originally, we were thinking about only staying in the west. When people on Youtube invited us over to cities in the East, we decided to do a cross-country trip. :)

This is the video that we uploaded about our road trip at first.

Now, we have a more specific plan for our trip.

We are going to leave our Idaho home this Saturday on the 15th of Feb.
We are going to spend a night in Utah and then head to Las Vegas on the 16th.
We will spend one or two nights in Las Vegas and then will head to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles area, we have many friends, so we will spend 4 or 5 days in Los Angeles.
After that, we will come back to Las  Vegas and then go to Grand Canyon.
We will spend a night in Grand Canyon and then will head to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I heard the city is very beautiful. After that, we will go to Dallas and Austin to meet James's relatives.

After that, we will pass by San Antonio and Houstin, and then we will head to New Orleans, Louisiana. I heard that there will be a festival called Mardi Gras. After spending one night there, we will go to Florida. We will drive around Florida, and then we are not really sure if we would like to go through Georgia or South Carolina, but I think we will probably go through Georgia, Atlanta. After that, we will go to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and then New York!

We will go to Boston after that, and we will pass by upstate of New York and head to Chicago. We will go down to Saint Louise after that, and we will meet some of our friends there. After that we will go to Denver, Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming to meet our friends. After that, we will come back to Idaho! :)
It is a pretty crazy trip, but I think we will have a lot of fun doing this.
I can't wait to meet many new people on the way and make friends with them.

I will blog everyday about our trip and vlog on youtube everyday, so please keep in tune!

If you would like to support our trip, please donate your money by pressing the donate button on our upper right corner of our blog.

If you help us, this will help us a lot on our trip and we will forever appreciate your help! :)

Thank you so much!

  1. I really want to donate but I'm a little broke as well

    1. That is fine! Just show support following our journey! :)

  2. Hi Lily,
My boyfriend and I used to read your blog and feel very encouraged as we sometimes experienced the same hardship you went through as an interatial couple. Your blog appeared to be well intended as it gave people like us (Korean girl and Black guy) a great insight into what it is like to pursue a marriage.

I am afraid once well intended nature of blogging your life is seemingly transforming into using it for personal purposes. I am sure there are people out there who would love to offer you help to travel here and there or buy a nice gift for your doughter, Yuri. However, there are more people who see it as a red flag as more you put your life out there for money to do things like this road trip. There is nothing wrong with wanting to do stuff like that. What is wrong with it is that you are asking people money and accommodations using people's interests toward your family. Not to mention that is a great risk to stay at people's houses who you barely know.

I may soundpreaching to the choir but hope you rethink about how to approach "helping people understand interatial dating" thing.

    1. Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. But I think you need to remember that this blog is about my personal life. And I have a right to ask people to donate to show support for my blog and youtube channel. Many people want to meet us personally asking for some advice, so I have come up with this idea visiting people. Anyway, I think I don't need to explain myself too much. Think whatever you want to think. I think I have my own good reason to do this.
