We got a Christmas Package from Korea!

My mom sent a package from Korea, and I have been waiting for that since she sent some cool stuff.

Tada!!! I got this nice looking box. :)

Yuri was really excited to open it, too!

There were lots of stuff! There was her hanbok(Korean traditional clothes) and me and James's hanbok.  There were noodles, cosmetics, vitamins, seaweed... etc.

She was very interested in Korean seaweed package!

I was so excited that I had to make her wear her hanbok!
This hanbok will be worn by Yuri on her 1st birthday and new year's day(Many Koreans wear hanbok on new year's day).

Hi! Do I look ok?

I like this hanbok!

Thanks, Grandma for the package!

I can't wait till we all three wear hanbok and take some pictures! :)

My opinion about eating dog

Many people know that Korean people eat dog.

I remember when I was young, I lived very close to a traditional market.
There was a restaurant where they sold dog meat, and there was always a dog tied in front of the restaurant.
I was really scared to pass by the restaurant whenever I was coming back home from school.
I could not believe people can eat dog meat.. It seemed really barbaric to me.

Now, I am older and wiser. I see things in a different perspective.
I think I can understand eating dog culture and people who eat dog meat.

It is just our culture!!

First of all, Korean people went through a big war called Korean war. I am sure people were very hungry.

There were not enough food and meat around them. So, they had to eat anything such dogs or even insects and worms. If there was anything that they could eat, they would not refuse to eat... They were hungry.

Second, we didn't raise dogs indoors. Traditionally, we raised dogs always outdoors. They were put outdoors to protect the house from robbers or intruders days and nights. They were just animals that were helpful to people like any other animals like cows, horses, chickens, and pigs. Some people had dog farms like pig farms.

Third, we didn't eat small dogs like little puppies and pets raised indoors. Actually, we didn't have that kind of dogs. We only had some big dogs like more of wolves.

Well.... Am I a dog meat eater? Personally, I haven't eaten it. I haven't eaten a lot different other kinds of meat. I haven't eaten snake, snail, monkey, horse, bison, crocodile, cat, rabbit, sparrow... etc.
I am not really a meat eater anyway, so I don't know if I ever will taste these stuff.

What I want to say is...
Everyone is different.
We are all from different background.
You can't ever understand someone else's situation because you are not him or her. You don't know exactly where he or she is coming from.

If you open your eyes wider and try to understand why certain things are happening in certain places, you will not be able to criticize people without any knowledge about their back ground.

But still,,,,
I wish people don't eat dog................ lol.

OK. OK. I understand people eating dog, but can they not eat????

Gosh, I feel like a hypocrite since I eat chicken, beef, pork, and fish.

Should I become a vegetarian?

Life is difficult....

lol.

Hey!!! Americans sell this kind of book, too!!!
Oh, wait...... Is some word hidden under the price tag?
Oh WHARVER! lol.

How we met (7)

Read from the beginning!
Go to How we met (1)!

I could feel that we both were attracted to each other. He looked at me, but then quickly looked away. It was better because I didn't want to let myself kiss him or let him kiss me on the first date. But, I felt that he sort of wanted and I sort of wanted. He just had his hands on my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. We just danced like that.

It was getting to the time when I had to go home. James, his friends, and I came out of the club. We were in front of KFC. His friends stopped a cab and asked James to hop in with them so that they could go back home. James told them to go first.

And then... we were talking... I don't remember what we were talking about... but we were just talking...

And then... the next thing that I remember was we were kissing.

YEAH! We were KISSING on our FIRST date!

Things had gone bad as possibly it could on our first date. He was drunk. He disappeared for 2 hours without telling me. There was a woman involved when he was gone. He might be a playboy like his friend told me. (He told me Jams was a playboy so I should hook up with him instead of James because he is not.)

But, we were KISSING. More specifically, he kissed me, and I let him kiss me.

I liked it.

I liked it  A LOT.

It was so soft... and nice... and sweet...

I couldn't resist it. I should have not let him kiss me on the first date. I was thinking, ' He might think that I am an easy woman.' This thing never happened with anyone in my whole entire life!

A KISS on a first date??? That is just not okay! That is insane!

But, I did it.

And, I liked it. and I like him..

We were kissing in front of KFC at 5 in the morning when there was almost no one on the street.

After that, we were hugging each other for a long time.

That is when I knew that I could fall in love....

It was really scary....

I don't know him well... He is a foreigner.... He is even BLACK!(My family will not like him.) Gosh...

I was scared... but I was also thrilled.

Lots of different things were in my mind...

But, one thing that I knew for sure was,,,, something was starting between me and him.

I was shy, so I was closing my eyes, but I wanted to see his face.

When I finally opened my eyes and put my head up, I almost jumped off the ground!

There was a guy looking at us.

TO BE CONTINUED....

Do you want to know who that guy is?

We are almost done! Thanks for your attention and support and love towards our story!

Have I always liked Black men?

Well... Here is the answer. No.

I did not like Black men before I met James. Man... That sounds harsh.

More specifically, I did not care about them. I never met Black people in person especially young black men around my age. I never looked close to black men to see their charms.

I just never knew them. I never had a chance to see their charms. Maybe, I just didn't give myself a chance since I was just not interested in them. Not interested in them didn't mean I didn't like them. I just never had an opportunity to get to know black people. (Let's say I just never met black people in general. Yeah Yeah. I was not cool. lol.)

Anyway, James was the first black person that I got to know and became friends with. After I started dating him, I started to meet his black friends and get to know them more. At first, they did not look that attractive to me. Even James looked just okay to me. lol.

However, I started to see them as people and began to not see their skin color but just their personality and their beauty. That is when I realized that they are extremely attractive!

I started with liking T.I. lol. When I first saw him in Justin Timberlake's Love music video, he looked so cute. I started thinking that Black men are quite cute. lol.
So cute. hehehe.

These are the reasons why I like Black men.

Again....
I am not saying I don't like other men and only like black men.

I like all kinds of men, White, Hispanic, Asian, Islanders...  I can tell you why I like them, too.

But, I felt like making this video to help other Asian women that didn't have a chance to get to know Black people or never met them or just have some prejudice about them see that Black men are attractive!

Yuri got a crib!

Yes, she didn't have a crib till now. She is 9 months. She slept on the floor for 3 months after she outgrew her bassinet.(Don't say we are bad parents since we let her sleep on the floor! We put lots of soft sheet on the floor, so she was warm and it was cozy. And.... Still, many Korean people sleep on the floor.)
First of all, we had to move. We didn't want to buy a crib and have to move it, so... we decided to buy a crib after we move.
Second, when we moved into a new apartment, we had to buy so many things and a lot of furniture such as  a sofa, a table, a chair, a bed, a crib... We really had hard time budgeting and..yeah, at one point, we didn't have money to buy a crib..

Enough of excuses now,,,,

We finally got Yuri's crib!!!

I felt really emotional today when I saw Yuri so excited to have her own bed!

Yeah.. It is second hand.. but it still looks decent and nice!

My baby...
Yuri...
Your mom and dad want the best for you... and we love you....

I love you...
