Being a woman is priceless.

A lot of men think they are doing women a favor by asking for her hand in marriage, but let’s think about this :
she changes her name,
changes her home,
leaves her family,
moves in with you,
builds a home with you,
gets pregnant for you,
pregnancy changes her body,
she gets fat,
almost gives up in the labor room due to the unbearable pains of child birth,
even the kids she delivers bear your name.
Till the day she dies...everything she does, (cooking, cleaning your house, taking care of your parents, bringing up your children, earning, advising you, ensuring you can be relaxed, maintaining all family relations, everything that benefit you.....sometimes at the cost of her own health , hobbies and beauty.
so who is really doing whom a favor?
Dear men appreciate the women in your lives always, coz it is not easy to be a woman.
*Being a woman is priceless*

Cheetos in Korea vs. Cheetos in USA

Cheetos! I like this snack.

However!! When I came to the USA and bought and ate Cheetos, I was quite disappointed. It was too salty!!! WHY are all the US snack so so so SALTY??

But, now I think I got used to the saltiness of Cheetos of USA, so I can sometimes eat it and actually quite enjoy it.

1. USA Cheetos

My favorite one is  Cheetos Puffs. It is quite soft, and it is not that salty as other kinds.

There are several kinds.

Jalapeno! Sounds hot!

A basic one, I guess.

Twisted one. I have never seen this before.

It looks too red. I don't like snacks with too much artifical colors.

It looks like a limited version. I have never seen it.

I bought this yesterday, and I am writing this post eating this. The red bag.

I have never seen this before, either. I wonder how giant the balls are. lol.

I have never seen it.

XXTRA Flaming hot? I don't want it.

How come I have never seen this Asterolds version? Do they sell now?

Let's check out Korean Cheetos.

2. Korean Cheetos

The main two popular Cheetos are these two kinds.

The red bag is Barbecue Flavor, and the black bag is hot Flavor. I like both, and hot flavor is not that hot, just to let you know. :) They are not salty like American ones.

I think this kind is fairly new because I have never had it. It is Grilled Onions flavor.

This seems very new, too. I have never had it. It is Sweet Chili flavor.

There are Mini Cheetos. It is a small amount, and the purple bag is Hot Sauce Flavor, and blue bag is Bulgogi Flavor.
Hot Sauce Flavor

Bulgogi Flavor

If I have to choose one over the other, I will choose Korean Cheetos. They are less salty and yummy! :)

I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you!

When your parents disapprove of your international relationship

If your parents are against your international relationship,
you need to know why they are against it.

If they are against it because of their personality, then it is fine.

However, if they are against your relationship just because they are out of your race or foreigners, then I think you shouldn't care about them too much.

Your life is your life. Your marriage is your marriage. You live your life, and you and your spouse work your marriage. No one does it for you. You need to know if your girlfriend/boyfriend make you happy, that is all that matters.

One thing that you need to remember is you shouldn't date him/her just because you want to be rebellious to your parents.

You might feel that you are Romeo or Juliet since they are against you. You might think that that is more fun and exciting because they are against it so it must be forbidden love and more thrilling.

However, you need to know that when parents are against your love, there must be reasonable reasons. So, you need to think about it again.

My bottom line is "Spread LOVE and stop HATE".

Yuri misses her dad!

It is been about 3 months now since we have been apart from each other. Yuri has been seeing James through facetime. Yuri was not really interested in talking to James at first, but she started to pay attention more to the screen now and seems like she is really talking to her daddy.

This is a video taken when Yuri was 14 months. (She is 15 months old now.)

Maybe, the phone's screen was a bit small, so she didn't pay much attention.
However, when we used ipad to facetime, she paid a lot more attention to the screen.

She motioned 'Saranghaeyo' which is 'I love you' in Korean. and She tried to feed James some cherries.

James sent me a video for my birthday.

So Sweet!!!
And I took a video of Yuri's reaction to the video of James.

She definitely loved seeing her daddy's face.

Awwwww. I love my family!!!!!!

How my Korean parents accepted my black boyfriend

My parents were never conservative people. They were quite open-minded.
Especially, my mom had been to many different countries, so she had met many different people from different cultures.

However, it must have been really hard for my parents to accept James as my boyfriend.

There were many different reasons, but one of them was the language.

My mom always dreamed that she and her son-in-law can be good friends and she can treat him as her son since she doesn't have a son. Being able to communicate with each other was quite important for my mom when it comes to a son-in-law.

My mom knew that I don't date someone I would not think about marrying, so she must have not liked the fact that James couldn't speak good Korean and she couldn't speak good English.

Things were not easy.

I uploaded a video on youtube one day for a video response to a video asking if all asians parents are quite against international relationships. The girl who uploaded the video deleted it after some time, but she was in an interracial relationship and was not accepted as her boyfriend's girlfriend by his parents.
This video started to get views and got popular. I started to get some subscribers.

Things got worse, and I even thought about giving up. However, people started supporting us and rooting for us.

Well... At the end, my parents accepted James, and we got to get married.

This is the video that I made how I persuade my parents.

I even interviewed my mom and made a video with her.

I hope you enjoy the video! :)

The bottom line is we are all equal and precious.

We are all beloved children of somebody.

Dating tips when you are dating a Korean girl

First of all, I am telling you that this tips and advice is a totally personal opinion of mine.
Some might think differently, but since I was born and raised in Korea, I can say I am pretty much very Korean. lol.

Let me give you some tips that you need to know when you are dating a Korean girl or when you want to make your Korean girlfriend happy.

1. Korean girls like publicity.

If you show your affection in public, she will seem shy, but she will like it. That is why Korean men are always very stressed about how they can make the woman happy by organizing some special party or proposal usually in public (or with bunch of friends).

2. Koreans like couple stuff.

Korean couples like to match together. They have couple shirts,

couple rings,

couple shoes,

couple cellphones,

couple cellphone charms,

couple bags,

even couple swimsuits!!

You might need to get prepared to do these things when you have a Korean boyfriend or girlfriend.

3. Korean girls are quite passive in relationships.

They like assertive guys. Many Korean girls say that even though they don't like a guy at first, if he keeps trying and is quite assertive, they will open up and start liking him. So, if you are assertive, she might just follow you.

I made a video on the same topic. If you didn't want to read my post, you can just watch my video.

A video : Dating and Marrying a Korean

A video that I made a long ago. I hope this is helpful as well.

For Black men, I made this video.

Racism in Korea. I interviewed My husband.

This is one of my first videos that I uploaded on Youtube when I was still dating my husband. I hope this is helpful. :)

We got a Christmas Package from Korea!

My mom sent a package from Korea, and I have been waiting for that since she sent some cool stuff.

Tada!!! I got this nice looking box. :)

Yuri was really excited to open it, too!

There were lots of stuff! There was her hanbok(Korean traditional clothes) and me and James's hanbok.  There were noodles, cosmetics, vitamins, seaweed... etc.

She was very interested in Korean seaweed package!

I was so excited that I had to make her wear her hanbok!
This hanbok will be worn by Yuri on her 1st birthday and new year's day(Many Koreans wear hanbok on new year's day).

Hi! Do I look ok?

I like this hanbok!

Thanks, Grandma for the package!

I can't wait till we all three wear hanbok and take some pictures! :)

Have I always liked Black men?

Well... Here is the answer. No.

I did not like Black men before I met James. Man... That sounds harsh.

More specifically, I did not care about them. I never met Black people in person especially young black men around my age. I never looked close to black men to see their charms.

I just never knew them. I never had a chance to see their charms. Maybe, I just didn't give myself a chance since I was just not interested in them. Not interested in them didn't mean I didn't like them. I just never had an opportunity to get to know black people. (Let's say I just never met black people in general. Yeah Yeah. I was not cool. lol.)

Anyway, James was the first black person that I got to know and became friends with. After I started dating him, I started to meet his black friends and get to know them more. At first, they did not look that attractive to me. Even James looked just okay to me. lol.

However, I started to see them as people and began to not see their skin color but just their personality and their beauty. That is when I realized that they are extremely attractive!

I started with liking T.I. lol. When I first saw him in Justin Timberlake's Love music video, he looked so cute. I started thinking that Black men are quite cute. lol.
So cute. hehehe.

These are the reasons why I like Black men.

Again....
I am not saying I don't like other men and only like black men.

I like all kinds of men, White, Hispanic, Asian, Islanders...  I can tell you why I like them, too.

But, I felt like making this video to help other Asian women that didn't have a chance to get to know Black people or never met them or just have some prejudice about them see that Black men are attractive!

Cinnamon Challenge

Have you ever done the Cinnamon Challenge?

The other day, James and I decided to do some game.

He did this butt ceremony.

And then, he wanted me to do Cinnamon Challenge!!!
It is basically eating a spoonful of Cinnamon Powder.

I saw some people's Cinnamon Challenge, and the videos really made me scared.

These are some of the fun videos of Cinnamon Challenge.
LOL!!!! This really made me laugh so hard.... but the same time, I got scared....

And then I watched this video. I got terrified.

Well..
But I promised people that I would do the challenge!

So I did it!!!!

And Enjoy!!! ASIAN POWER!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Korean people's Thoughts about Marriage

Today, my husband was looking at one picture and started giggling.

I took a look at it, and I could find some comments like 'So true.' 'Hahaha, that is true.'
13 people shared the picture to other people, so I guess people really thought that this picture reflects some of truth.

This is another fun joke that is popular. Obviously, guys think that marriage is a crazy thing.

Even from many movies, soap operas, and stories, a lot of men are so against marriage in the USA.

However, this thing can be hardly seen and found in Korea.

Korean women are not that excited about marriage.

M brain monitor(Korean survey company) did a survey to 2000 people in Korea.

57.6% said 'Marriage is not the necessary element of Happiness.

While 46.3% of men responded that 'you can be happy without marriage,' 68.9% of women responded that 'you can be happy without marriage.'
More women think that they can be happy without marriage.

The reason why women think like that is in Korea, even though women have a job and work, they are still considered to be the one who are responsible for the house work and chores, which is totally unfair to women.

Even among my friends, many guy friends of mine want to get married and settle down, but many girl friends of mine want to enjoy their single life and postpone her marriage as far as she can. lol.

So... those pictures of American joke didn't make me laugh nor empathize.

This is the link of the article of Korean newpaper. If you can't read Korean, you don't need to bother to click it. lol. I am just saying I didn't make this up. I have a reference. lol.

Now, those pictures made me have some questions.

Why do American girls love to get married?
Is the US a really heaven for women? (unlike Korea since Korean women have lots of responsibility after they get married.)
Do US women not get stressed as much as Korean women?
