Being a woman is priceless.

A lot of men think they are doing women a favor by asking for her hand in marriage, but let’s think about this :
she changes her name,
changes her home,
leaves her family,
moves in with you,
builds a home with you,
gets pregnant for you,
pregnancy changes her body,
she gets fat,
almost gives up in the labor room due to the unbearable pains of child birth,
even the kids she delivers bear your name.
Till the day she dies...everything she does, (cooking, cleaning your house, taking care of your parents, bringing up your children, earning, advising you, ensuring you can be relaxed, maintaining all family relations, everything that benefit you.....sometimes at the cost of her own health , hobbies and beauty.
so who is really doing whom a favor?
Dear men appreciate the women in your lives always, coz it is not easy to be a woman.
*Being a woman is priceless*

How we met (9)

Read from the beginning! Go to How we met (1)!

After I got home, I waited for his text message.... (even though I told him I would call him.)

For some reason, I wanted to see him wanting me more. (hehehe)

But, well, I decided to text him first. Maybe, I wanted him more. (and I told him I would call him before.  What an excuse.... lol)

He texted me back saying he was thinking about me. hahaha.

Hee Hee.

I guess this is how we met.

Later, I found out the woman that he kept talking about was his girlfriend.

WHAT?!!!!??? OMG!!!

He broke up with her that night. (What a player!!!! )

Well, that was actually quite sweet of him that he wanted to be with me and he had to straighten things up.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To all the readers who enjoyed reading our story,

Thank you for your support, and I will come back with many fun episodes of ours.

It is spring! The season of love. (no reference, that is what I think. lol) LET'S LOVE EACH OTHER! :)

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

And this is the video that we made talking about how we met. That is a shorter version. :)

And this is the video me asking Jame what was the first thing attracted James about me. :)

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!!

How my Korean parents accepted my black boyfriend

My parents were never conservative people. They were quite open-minded.
Especially, my mom had been to many different countries, so she had met many different people from different cultures.

However, it must have been really hard for my parents to accept James as my boyfriend.

There were many different reasons, but one of them was the language.

My mom always dreamed that she and her son-in-law can be good friends and she can treat him as her son since she doesn't have a son. Being able to communicate with each other was quite important for my mom when it comes to a son-in-law.

My mom knew that I don't date someone I would not think about marrying, so she must have not liked the fact that James couldn't speak good Korean and she couldn't speak good English.

Things were not easy.

I uploaded a video on youtube one day for a video response to a video asking if all asians parents are quite against international relationships. The girl who uploaded the video deleted it after some time, but she was in an interracial relationship and was not accepted as her boyfriend's girlfriend by his parents.
This video started to get views and got popular. I started to get some subscribers.

Things got worse, and I even thought about giving up. However, people started supporting us and rooting for us.

Well... At the end, my parents accepted James, and we got to get married.

This is the video that I made how I persuade my parents.

I even interviewed my mom and made a video with her.

I hope you enjoy the video! :)

The bottom line is we are all equal and precious.

We are all beloved children of somebody.

Go to How we met (1)!

I am extremely sorry for being lazy and not doing my duty.
I know you guys waited for a long time. Please forgive me for being a lazy writer, and I hope that you guys keep showing your support!!!

I love you all!!!

When I opened my eyes, I saw a guy looking at me.

He was looking right at me and smiling.

'Who is that guy? Why is he smiling at me?'

James and I were standing and hugging. This was a very romantic moment.
I avoided his eyes and closed my eyes again.

When I opened my eyes again to see if he was gone, he was still there.
He kept smiling at me and didn't want to leave.

Oh, gosh.... What is wrong with him??!?!?!!!

He gestured that I should hook up with him instead of James!!!!!

That just made me want to laugh so hard!!!!!!!

LOL LOL LOL LOL

but, I couldn't.

This was A ROMANTIC MOMENT. lol.

I didn't want to ruin this moment telling James about this random guy who keeps sending signals to me. lol. lol.

I had to hold back laughing.

I shouldn't laugh........

Maybe I should cover my mouth.......

Well.... I wanted to show him (the random dude) that I would not hook up with him. (...but why??? I didn't need to do that. lol.)

I kissed James again.

This time...

It was more fun...

More passionate..

More sweet....

More sensual...

More romantic...

I opened my eyes... and looked at James..
He was looking at me....

And... the guy behind James was looking at me, too!!!!!!

Oh my goodness gracious!!!

I signaled him that I am not gonna hook up with him and so he should go away. lol.

And.. James and I were standing cuddling for a long time again...

The loser left.  (lol. Sorry I had to call him a loser.)

James wanted me to stay with him more, but I had to go home.
He walked me to the bus stop...
I told James that I would call him later, and I got on the bus.

When I looked outsides to see James, he was not looking at me to wave byebye. He was just looking down at the ground....... He didn't wave at me. He didn't even look at me.

The bus left.

I couldn't understand him.

What was just THAT?????

???????????????????

He didn't even LOOK at me.

Oh YEAh....

He just wanted to spend a night (more specifically, early morning) with me.

A PLAYER!!!!

TO BE CONTINUED........

Our Korean Traditional Wedding

I had always dreamed about having a Korean Traditional Wedding. Now, most Koreans do western style wedding. I wanted something different and something unforgettable. I wanted to go really Korean. :) When I asked for my parents' opinion, they agreed and thought that they would be a good idea.

James and I spent quite a lot of money on making our hanbok for the wedding. I felt like spending that much on hanbok and wear only one or two times will be wasting too much. But,,, oh well. We have only one wedding, right? lol.  So, we got our own hanbok. We took rehearsal wedding pictures with hanbok on.

My grandma's sister made them for us. I really like the hanbok. :)

So... We were ready with nice hanbok, and I made a reservation for the wedding ceremony in Yongin Traditional Folk village.

This is a very famous Korean Folk Village.

We invited people around us, and James's mom even came to see our wedding.

The wedding day arrived.
Oh, no.... Oh, God... Why are you doing this to us....?

Our wedding was supposed to take place outdoors, and it was raining in the morning when I woke up.

This gotta be kidding....
I went to a beauty shop to do my make-up. Oh my goodness.... Still raining...

Felt like crying...

Well... Let's go to the folk village anyway....

James and I were holding hands and looking at each other with worries...

I told James.... "Honey... Let's pray that this will stop..."
He agreed and we said a prayer.

After we finished our prayer, we arrived in the village.
And... believe or not, the rain started to thin out.

I could not believe it! The sun was starting to shine and coming out of clouds.
Yay!!!!

But, when we got there, they said we  can't do the wedding outdoors anyway since the ground is wet.... :((

So, we had to do the ceremony on the floor of a house. (People could still see us from outside since the house is open to public.)

The sad part about our wedding was because of the weather, a lot of people got stuck in traffic and didn't make it on time. (Rain makes traffic crazily heavy.)
And, even James' mom didn't make it on time, so she couldn't see our wedding... :((((((

But,, well... my parents were there with us and lots of James' friends arrived on time, so it was all good. :)

These are the pictures of our wedding.

This was James changing to the wedding Hanbok.

Waiting for his bride. :)

Looking nice, Babe. :)

The guy in the middle is the one who conducts the wedding.
He tells us what to us and leads the wedding.

In the left, there are my mom and dad. :)

James comes first and waits for the bride.

I com next. I am supposed to cover my whole face. The groom is not supposed to see the bride's face until they have the first night in their room.
In Korea, we got married to a person our parents decide, and we never knew the partner before the wedding. The marriage is decided between your parents and his/her parents.

Many people had to see our wedding like that.

After the wedding, the groom get on a donkey and the bride get in  a carriage, and they go to the groom's house.

Four men carry the carriage.

They play music and let people in town know that someone got married. People come out and see them and dance with them and stuff.

Now, the wedding is done. It's the photo time!

Thanks for everyone for coming to our wedding and my family and James' family.
We love you all.

James's mom came late after our wedding. She gave us good words of advice.
We lost the pictures that we took with her. The hard disk that I had had the pictures and the disk broke, so I lost many pictures in it. :((((
