Busan Trip - South Korea

We got on a night bus to go to Busan. We wanted to get there early in the morning so that we can have a whole day to have fun on the beach. We slept on the bus since it took about 4 and a half hours overnight. I think we got there around 5ish.
Busan had really clean subways.

Waiting for the subway.

When we got on the subway, there were no one in the car since it was really early in the morning. So we decided to take up some spaces. lol.

We went to Haeundae Beach. It was really beautiful, but we were just too early. lol. So we decided to lay down and sunbathe a bit.

When you look at the picture, there are no one except for us. lol.

Those sunglasses that I am wearing in the picture, the big wave took them away. :( I was not happy.
Since we were a bit tired, we felt asleep. but my legs were totally sunburned. Awwwwwww.

This picture was taken at another beach. Look at my legs. They are so red...
And the sunglasses... I lost the white framed ones... so I had to wear them instead.

Honey, smile!!

Gosh! Smile!!!

OK. good. lol.

Daegu trip - South Korea

James and I love traveling. We used to get any affordable tickets and hop on a train and go somewhere together. It was a lot of fun. I would like to share our trips.

These were our Daegu trip.

Daegu was an exciting place for us.

Their subway tokens were really cute. They were plastic coins.

We had nice seafood hot pot with my friend. and James wanted to take pictures with what he just had.

Look for his hairpins.

Kissing the lobster head. This is just gross.

These were some pictures of us at the restaurant.

We went out shopping a lot in Daegu. There was a huge club area, and we had a lot of fun clubbing. All the clubs were free for foreigners, and James loved it. lol.

This is a video clip that we took in Daegu. We found this weird creepy looking doll and took a video with it.

And then... the fun part was the amusement park!
We went there with my friend. It was a lot of fun.

We got on a viking ride. You need to check this out. The funny thing happened.

Bahahahahahahhahhahahahahahahhaha

It was so much fun!!!!!! :)

A response video from a cute girl

So... the other day, I uploaded a video of Yuri saying 'dadada.'

And.. I got this really cute video respond from a girl.

Sometimes, I feel like making a video does not get us anywhere. I feel that I am showing our life too much to other strangers. But whenever I get some thank-you messages or this kind of response, I get pumped up. I feel so happy that someone out there loves our videos and feels happy or good about it.

If I can make at least someone smile with my video, I did my good part.

Yay!!!! I am so happy! :)

Money or Family?

As some people already know, I live in the USA with my husband and my baby girl. Since he is a student, I am here staying at home taking care of the baby and cooking. My problem is I want to make money. I like traveling around and I want to visit James's family with Yuri, but I can't since James makes so little money as a student. I feel that if I go back to Korea, I will be able to start working and make money. I feel like doing nothing here... Should I go back to Korea with Yuri and start working there or just stay here in the US and not make money and stay with my husband and support him..?

It is a huge dilemma...

What would you do if you were me? I need some suggestion..

How we met (3)

Read from the beginning. :)
Click for How we met (1)!

I was thinking about James calling me just to ask my name. I felt like he might not have been interested in me as much as I was. At least, I knew his name! So.. I decided to stay friends with him and thought that was at least what his intention was.

He called me once or twice a week after that. He asked me how I was doing and talked a bit, and he never asked me out. All our talk on the phone was really superficial nothing substantial even if we were just friends. So.. I started to wonder why we were talking on the phone once or twice a week and just asking each other how we were doing. I started to feel uncomfortable to talk to him since we didn't grow our relationship toward any direction. (Not even friendship. That was what I thought.) He never asked me out or anything, so I felt like he was just going through calling one girl a day on his phone contacts. I just felt like he was just calling me so that he did not get bored or something.

Maybe, he was this much bored. lol.

So I started ditching his phone calls. I know I should have just told him what I felt, but I didn't want to say those stuff directly to him and didn't know how to. I thought avoiding calls will give him a hint.

However, he kept calling me. I kept getting missed calls from him. I felt bad.. but I didn't know what to do.

One day, I was texting with my phone and the phone rang. At that time, if you pressed any button, the phone automatically got picked up. I accidentally picked up James's phone (Heaven helped James. lol), and we got to talk to him. He was saying it was really hard to catch me and told me he was glad that he could talk to me.

So.. I wanted to find out if he was interested in meeting me up. I asked him if he would like to give my umbrella back and maybe treat me a lunch. He said he would love to. So... I told him to text me with a date and ask me officially.

He texted me the next day asking if we could get together the following weekend.
But... All of a sudden, I felt like the whole idea of us getting together was not from him actually I asked him to do that. I didn't feel good about it all of a sudden. lol. So... I didn't reply the text of him.

And... I could not get any texts after that.

And I was thinking if he thinks that I am not worth trying to text at least twice, I don't need to waste my time.

Hey, You stupid! She not replying does not mean she is not interested in you! She wants to know how much you like her!

So we stopped contacting each other.

TO BE CONTINUED....

Today's lesson: If an Asian girl does not reply your text message, try twice. She will feel that you are really serious. lol.

Yes!! Yuri is in a commercial!

A hospital contacted me around a month ago and asked me if they could use a video of Yuri's for their commercial. It is a Children's hospital, and we gladly accepted and now she is on TV!!!
If anyone lives in Pennsylvania, you need to look for the commercial on your local TV!
The Hospital is Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Anyway, Enjoy our treasure, Yuri. :)

How we met (2)

Read from the beginning. :)
Click for How we met (1)!

So... there were some comments that motivated me to keep writing, so I am back! lol. Thanks for your comments by the way. I love you. <3 nbsp="nbsp">

James was a pretty much silent guy at work. A lot of students liked him and told me that he was a really fun guy, but I could not find that out since he was just not talking to the teachers. He finished his a-week-long substitute job and left. I never really had a chance to talk to him, so I didn't bother to get to know him. He was just a sub teacher at my work. That was all.

Around a week later, one teacher called in sick for like a week(This teacher became a pain in our principle's butt). So, James came back the next day and worked for a week again. We just said hi and how are you, but nothing much was going on. But, the last day of James, we met in front of the elevator. James was going home, and I was going down to grab some snack(When you are teaching, you get hungry easily. lol). It was the most awkward moment ever. Again, after we said hi, no one talked. (James was just really not a talker.) I got in an elevator, and still there was a dead silence. ^^;;;
That was me who could not stand the silence and decided to break it.

So awkward..

I asked him some questions about him, and he answered. While we were doing that, we were on the first floor. phewwww. When we got out of the building, it was starting to rain. I wanted to get an umbrella and asked James if he needs one since I had two extra. (That means I had 3 umbrellas. lol. Don't ask me why I had so many. I don't know. hahaha.)

He was a bit hesitant, but he said okay. (Later, I found out he is never an umbrella person. He never liked carrying an umbrella even in rain. Sometimes, when the rain stopped and he did not need the umbrella, he would throw it away.) So, I had to quickly go upstairs to get two umbrellas for us and came down. When I handed an umbrella to him, he asked for my phone number. Yep. That is how it all started. lol.

He went home, and I got some snack and came back to work.

I think around 15 minutes had passed. My cell phone rang. I picked up. That was James. I smiled.

He told me he could not remember my name and asked what my name was.

WHAT??????? WHAT IS MY NAME???

I could not believe that he did not even remember my name.

GOSH... That moment, I took his name off my list.

That totally turned me off.

Yuri's First word!!!

Around 3 to 4 days ago, Yuri started saying "Dadadadada." I looked at her and said, "Dadadadada?"

She looked at me and kept saying "Dadadadada."
I was really excited, but then quickly thought, 'wait a minute. not Mamamama?'
The funny thing was she looked like she was calling me instead of James.
Anyway,,,, This is the video that she says dadada.
Enjoy!! :)

How we met (1)

We have been together now for just over 6 years including dating and marriage.
I thought it would be nice to write how we met.
James and I once made a video about it, but we never went in details.
So... if you are interested in learning how we met!! This is a real version. hahaha.

We met at work.
I just graduated from a college, and I started working at an English language Institute as an English teacher. I wanted to save up money to go to a graduate school to the US, so I was preparing to take GRE test and work at the same time. My second week of the work, James came as a substitute teacher. I went to my classroom and encountered James who was sitting in front of students who were enjoying their break time. James was just sitting there looking at the students and spending the break time there. (During the break time, teachers come to teachers office, but he was just a substitute and he did not have his desk, so he probably just decided to stay in a classroom.) When I first saw him, he just looked so cute. Hahaha. To be honest, I never met any black person around my age until then. I was a bit amazed by how cute a black person is and how interesting for me to see him. I was just a typical Korean girl who was never exposed to other ethnic people except for white people. (Yeah, yeah, I know. I was not cool, then. lol)

I wanted to talk to him, but he always seemed not to enjoy talking. James later told me that he was shy in front of me. (cute! hahaha)

This was how we first met.

This will be a series story. So..

TO BE CONTINUED....

If you want me to keep going, please leave some comments and show some support!!! I will love you forever if you leave comments. lol.

My baby Yuri's Profile

She was born on 26th of February, 2012.

She came 2 weeks earlier than her due date.

She was 5 lb. 14 oz. when she was born.

She is ethnically Afro-Asian or Blasian.

She looks a lot like her dad. (That's what people say, but her father says she looks a lot like her mom. :))

She loves 'Tadpole song' that her mom sings.

She wears a head band most of the time when she goes out since she does not have a lot of hair. (Many people think that she is a boy if she goes out without a flower or a ribbon.)

She loves taking a bath just before her bed time.

She loves her mommy massaging her legs after her bath.

She enjoys a car ride in a car seat.

Her name Yuri means lily(my name) in Japanese.

She always smiles at her mom when she looks at her.

She likes a camera aiming at her.

She does not like tummy time (still! She is 7 months old right now.), but she can put up with it when she is getting her picture taken. lol.

Look at her. She looks so happy! haha.

Yuri is the love of my life.

7 month-old baby Yuri update

Yuri is 7 months old. Unlike many other babies around this time, she hasn't crawled yet. I don't mind she develops a bit slowly. She eats solids now twice a day. She loves them and enjoys eating them.
Here are some her recent pictures and videos. Enjoy them! :)

2ne1 style ;) (Especially Sandara Park Style)

My sister got her some clothes for her, and I dressed her with one of them. She looked like a boy with it, so I had to put pink sunglasses to make her look a bit more like a girl. People still ask us whether she is a boy or a girl even though we dress her up with pink since she has no hair. :)

I think she is starting to understand what I am saying. (I guess. hehe) When I say 'high five!' she puts her hand high up to do it. So darling. hehehe

She is a bit being fussy in this video. She was tired since it was her nap time. She has been hating her tummy time mostly. However, today she looked not minding being on her belly. I wanted to record her not being fussy on her tummy, but I failed because she was tired. So, I want to believe that she was not fussy because of the tummy time but her tiredness. :)

I say 까꿍(KaKoong) to her. It is the same thing as Peekaboo.
